Mining Rover

By Eric Kingsley

The workhorse of the Moonbase Mining operations. While menacing in appearance this is a purely peaceful piece of machinery. Each outpost has between 2 and 10 of these depending on size and type of mine.

Generally used for breaking up large and hard rock but can also be used for breaking down piles of raw ore.

Operated by a single seated operator the compression laser and operators seat are on a 360 degree turret. The compression laser works much like a jack hammer by emitting oscillating bursts of energy that pulverized rock and ore. The primary laser is complemented by a sighting laser.

The rover moves at relatively slow speeds but has tremendous torque for navigating rough and raw terrain. Like most Moonbase equipment the mining rover is powered by highly efficient Imaginatium crystals.
