This is an Insectoids themed model I built to tie in with a very rough Moonbase story concept I had. FYI, Gypsy Moth was the female Insectoid and their Queen.

The premise of the rough concept was that the Insectoids are secretly in league with the Piratons, and that they are being investigated by Classic Space Command. Players are sent in to negotiate with Gypsy Moth about ties between the Insectoids and the Piratons, but they end up fighting her instead.

When it is a time of royal business for Gypsy Moth, she sits on her throne and controls the actions of her kingdom by using a telepathic connection to the hive mind. When her base is under attack, she usually transforms her throne into a flying saucer so she could escape. She only stays to fight if she believes the enemy is worthy enough to fight her. Coincidentally, she thinks that all players are worthy enemies.

Players would battle Gypsy Moth in an instance much like that of the FV Dragon Instance, except they wouldn't reach her until they have spent a few minutes of exploring Dungeon-like tunnels. Gypsy Moth is notably surrounded by Bug-Person Guards, who would also attack the players. Although monstrous-looking, the Bug-Person Guards aren't completely mindless drones, they have lives of their own.

The model and story premise were somewhat inspired by memories of Space Ghost episodes, specifically of one with a spider queen lady who forces Space Ghost to fight a giant spider-person.

Hate to burst your bubble, but that contradicts a ton of canon...

Oops, story contradictions! Neutral

The model could still be salvaged as a model, hopefully. Wink

Thanks for the compliment. Smile
When I was initially building the flying saucer, it first resembled a Mars Mission Alien vehicle, so I added hints of blue for that Insectoid flavor.
